By accessing or using CheckPFAS.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

The Site is operated by Jovian Creative AS, a company registered in Norway (Organisation number: 930 966 495) ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

CheckPFAS.com provides a free, publicly accessible tool that allows users to look up PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) contamination data for U.S. water systems by ZIP code. Data is sourced from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Fifth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 5) dataset. The Site also provides educational content about PFAS, water filtration product reviews, and related articles.

3. Accuracy of Data

The water quality data displayed on CheckPFAS is derived from the EPA's UCMR 5 public dataset. While we take care to process and present this data accurately, we make no warranties as to the completeness, accuracy, currency, or reliability of the information displayed.

• UCMR 5 data reflects measurements taken at water system entry points; it does not account for conditions in building plumbing or private wells.
• Data may not reflect the most current water quality conditions, as the EPA dataset has a fixed collection period.
• Not all U.S. water systems were required to participate in UCMR 5 testing. Absence of data does not indicate absence of contamination.
• This Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

For official water quality information, consult your water utility's Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) or contact your local public health authority.

4. Health Disclaimer

The information on CheckPFAS is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be construed as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The presence or absence of PFAS at any concentration in your water supply does not by itself constitute a medical determination of risk to any individual.

Individual health risks from PFAS exposure depend on numerous factors including concentration, duration of exposure, body weight, age, and overall health. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concerns.

5. Product Reviews & Affiliate Links

CheckPFAS publishes reviews of water filtration products. These reviews represent our editorial opinion based on available product specifications, certifications, and publicly available testing data. We do not independently test every product reviewed.
